Soldier Threaten and Seize the Money

The local truck cars in Man Tong were seized for carrying the rations for soldiers by ILB (130) by the order of major Nay Myoe Win to use in the field of soldiers and local porters building the road of Manton to Namsarn.
One of the cars from the township was ordered on 18, February 2008 to carry the soldiers’ rations from ILB (130) who building the road Manton to Namsarn and Mine Ngoe near of Num Sa Ree Village. There was not just to catch the cars, they also terrorized to get money by unfair way from the owners and drivers.
Over 10 of cars in Man-tong township but they seized only a car and the other owners were roared to pay the money about one hundred thousand kyat for instead of not going for the porters. When they asked the money from the driver they give the reason “these moneys are for driver Oo Loa Woo who was under seizing and portering to fill oil “. And they terrorized the drivers that if they do not reimburse the money, their truck cars could be seized and lost by the ILB (130).
“Mostly, these cars are without the license and we have been threatening by this way all the time. Also we lost our money about 9 hundred thousands kyat. They said that these moneys are to buy and fill the oil for driver who was under the pottering but they don’t provide the driver and the owner anything” said one of the car drivers.
