Crowd of Military Uniform at PSLA Leader Funeral

Enormous Loss – The funeral of the Palaung leader Thar Nyi Long, aged 57, Palaung State Liberation Army, joint secretary, has celebrated on 20 February, 2008 in Lashio, Northern Shan State.

General Aung Than Htut, commander of northeast military head quarter and his followers about 20 came and donated 13 packs of rice and 300,000 Kyat. He also addressed the speech encouraging the Palaung people.

The Palaung Nationality Association also provided the condolence in the funeral quoting, “We, the Palaung grassroots do feel sad that we have lost the Palaung leader, who was leading the Palaung political with the full-skilled. We recorded and admired the leading role of Thar Nyi Long for his passion to the Palaung people.”

He passed way on 18 February, 2008 with the disease of lung cancer. He has been treated in China, Dehong (Mone Khorn) city by the end of 2007, but there wasn’t fixed with his situation.
